This project makes a great wall decoration and you may never forget another appointment!Materials needed:· Heavy cardboard (several sheets) · 15 sheets of newspaper · A piece of fabric 18" x 23"· Ribbon· Ruler· Thick, tacky glue · Scissors · Push pinsWhat to do:Step One: Cut the newspapers and cardboard so that each sheet measures 8 1/2" x 11.Step Two: Lay the fabric flat on a table and place the stack of newspapers in the center. Step Three: Place a sheet of cardboard directly over the newspapers.Step Four: Carefully bring one side of the fabric over the cardboard edge and glue it in place.Step Five: Repeat this step for each of the sides of the message board. Be careful to make sure the newspapers stay in place.Step Six: Let the glue dry. Step Seven: Wrap a few pieces of ribbon around the message board (widthwise or lengthwise) and glue the ends to the back of the cardboard.Step Eight: Glue the remaining piece of cardboard over the back of the message board. This will provide additional support and hide the edges of fabric and ribbon. Step Nine: Stick the push pins in the fabric. Now you’re ready to post your messages, photos, and clippings.
